Harrington Raceway Data Breach Investigation

Harrington Raceway is a gambling facility and casino specializing in table games, slot machines, harness racing, and live entertainment. As a Casino, Harrington Raceway has over 1,700 slot machines and a wide variety of table games as well as a half-mile track for live harness racing. In addition, Harrington Raceway also offers 6 different dining experiences along with various entertainment events. Located in Harrington, Delaware, Harrington Raceway has been in operation since 1996 and employs approximately 150 individuals.


On or around December 27, 2022, Harrington Raceway discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Harrington Raceway determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between December 12 and December 27, 2022. On April 10, 2023, Harrington Raceway began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Passport number
  • Identification numbers
