CAMICO Mutual Insurance Data Breach Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, CAMICO discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, CAMICO determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on or about October 25, 2023. On January 12, 2024, CAMICO began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Health insurance information (e.g., Health insurance carrier, Health insurance member ID/Group number)
