TYLin Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating T.Y. Lin International Group Ltd. (“TYLin”) regarding its recent data breach. The TYLin data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 3,000 individuals.


TYLin is a global engineering firm based in California. Founded in 1954, TYLin designs infrastructure solutions that connect and elevate communities, such as: enhancing conventional designs with smarter, more resilient systems; connecting gridlocked populations with better means of mobility; stewarding precious resources with more sustainable solutions; and solving clients unique challenges with innovative and technically advanced approaches.2 Today, TYLin operates in a variety of sectors, including aviation, commercial, education, government, healthcare, and residential. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, TYLin has additional locations in North and South America, Latin America, Asia, and Europe, and employs over 1,000 individuals.


On August 1, 2023, TYLin discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, TYLin determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on or about July 27, 2023. Recently, TYLin began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
