Aspire Health Alliance Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Aspire Health Alliance, formally South Shore Mental Health, regarding its recent data breach. The Aspire Health Alliance data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 17,000 individuals.

ABOUT ASPIRE HEALTH ALLIANCE:

Aspire Health Alliance is a mental healthcare organization based in Massachusetts. Founded in 1926, Aspire Health Alliance provides a wide array of counseling and evaluation services to adults, children and their families which are offered in community settings such as schools, homes, offices, hospitals, and other locations working to build a healthy and positive environment.2 Additionally, Aspire Health Alliance offers rehabilitative services that adapt to the needs of an individual.2 Headquartered in Braintree, Massachusetts, Aspire Health Alliance has four additional locations and employs over 500 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Aspire Health Alliance discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Aspire Health Alliance determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed information on September 13, 2023. On April 26, 2024, Aspire Health Alliance began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
